Big DNA appoints Commercial Director and Chief Operating Officer

BigDNA is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Karen Jervis as Commercial Director and Chief Operating Officer. Dr Jervis's extensive senior management experience in the Life Sciences industry will be invaluable in the continuing development of BigDNA.
Dr Jervis has twelve years experience in the Life Sciences industry, having held
senior management positions at Viragen, CXR Biosciences and most
recently, the Roslin-based vaccine company, BigDNA, where she is
Commercial Director and Chief Operating Officer.
Educated in Edinburgh and Glasgow, she has a MBA and a PhD in Protein
Biochemistry. Dr Jervis is a member of the Government's Scottish Science Advisory
Committee and holds consulting positions at US-based Precipio Biotherapeutics
and the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. Dr Jervis lives near Peebles in the Scottish Borders with her husband
and baby daughter. In her spare time, she is a keen competitive mid
and long distance runner.
